Most of my practical body of work lies in the videos I’ve worked on. Here you’ll find high-quality promotional content as well as personal projects.
I directed, filmed and edited a promotional video for local social care company JRH Support, interviewing service users with mental health difficulties about their experiences with the company. This was published to their social media pages and attracted much positive feedback.
I was part of a team tasked with creating a package of fire awareness videos for use on social media by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service. I helped conceptualise and storyboard each video and performed all the filming, while acting as the point of contact with the employer for the group.
I led a small team in producing a promotional video for the Befriending branch of local mental health charity Improving Lives. This involved organising meetings and shoot days, filming and editing content, and building a rapport with interviewees.
As part of my degree dissertation, I created a pilot for a podcast about female cinema. I sourced interviews with a family of independent American filmmakers as well as a local film lecturer. This involved plenty of prior research and effective communication with interviewees. I also edited together a short experimental montage to exhibit the evolution of women on the big screen.
Here are two more short films I made during University. Daydreams on the Roadside explores the conflict between nature and human intervention, while Tick Tock is a bite-sized look into working under looming deadlines.
